Pre-Applied Thread Locking.
Overview
Three mechanisms, twenty-two SKUs, one job: Our pre-applied thread locking coatings deliver high resistance to vibration and loosening on a wide variety of fasteners. These dry-to-the-touch thread locking adhesives are pre-applied to the threads before assembly and activate upon installation, curing into a durable thermoset polymer that both locks the fastener and seals against leakage. Ideal for automotive, marine, and engine components.
Keep your fastener tight under vibration without a tech having to reach for a bottle of Liquid Loctite on the line. The threadlocker most OEMs print specifies is Loctite Dri-Loc — available in yellow (200/201), Pink (2045), silver (203), and red (204). PRECOTE 80 and 85 cover European drivetrain specs. The Bradley Nylon Patch is the mechanical option where reusability matters. All applied and pre-coated to fasteners you supply. Compare by strength, mechanism, and what’s on your print.

Three ways a thread can be locked.
The right answer depends on the assembly environment, how the joint will be serviced, and what’s already specified on the OEM print. Read left to right, these are the three families on the shelf.
A · CHEMICAL THREAD LOCKERS
Anaerobic / Water-Based Thread Lockers
A pre-applied thread locking adhesive coats a portion of the threaded length. On assembly, the film is compressed against mating threads, micro capsules are crushed, air is excluded, and the resin cures. The fastener remains inert in storage; cure begins only when assembled.
B · CHEMICAL THREAD LOCKERS — SOLVENT BASED
Capsule-Activated Adhesives
Resin and activator live in separate microcapsules embedded in a coating. Torque shears the capsules, the chemistries mix, and the joint cures at room temperature. Engineered for repeatable break-loose values.
C · MECHANICAL
Bradley White Nylon Patch (Mechanical Locker)
A bonded nylon element occupies a portion of the thread. On installation, it compresses, generating counter-torque against the mating thread. No chemistry, no cure window — the lock is mechanical and immediate. Reusable for 5+ cycles.

Dri-Loc
Dry-to-touch pre-applied film for threaded fasteners. Inert in storage, cures on assembly, locks and seals in one pass. The RED Loctite 204 most OEM prints specify — the most widely OEM-specified pre-applied thread locking line in North America.

TEMP TO 400°F
200 Yellow
High-strength, dry-to-touch pre-applied thread locker for high-vibration assemblies.
201 Yellow
High-strength, dry-to-touch pre-applied yellow thread locker for plated and bright-stock fasteners.
202 Green
Medium-strength, dry-to-touch pre-applied thread locker and sealant for assemblies that need vibration resistance and fluid sealing — without a permanent, service-proof bond.
203 Silver
Low-strength, dry-to-touch pre-applied thread locker and sealant for assemblies where the joint needs to be locked and sealed — but also accessible when the time comes.
204 Red
High-strength, dry-to-touch pre-applied thread locker for plated and stainless steel fasteners.
2045 Red
Medium-to-high-strength, fast-cure, dry-to-touch pre-applied thread locker for plated and stainless fasteners in high-temperature service.
STS Light Blue
Pre-applied straight thread sealant and medium-strength locker — one methacrylate ester film seals, locks, and installs with high lubricity in a single operation.

ND Industries Adhesives
Room-temperature curing microencapsulated adhesives for threaded fasteners. ND Industries microencapsulated screws and bolts use capsules that stay dormant on the fastener — engaging mating threads breaks the capsule wall and releases the resin to cure in place. Strong fit for moderate-to-high break-loose torque applications.

Expand-A-Lock
Expand-A-Lock is a unique pre-applied microencapsulated expanding threadlocking and sealing compound.

PRECOTE Series
Microencapsulated thread locking adhesive. Dry to touch. A microencapsulated acrylate coating that activates on thread engagement — PRECOTE 80 and PRECOTE 85 are the most frequently specified grades for high-strength European OEM and drivetrain assemblies.

Precote 5
Non-reactive pre-applied thread sealant rated from -76°F to 356°F. Water-based, dry to the touch, ready for assembly.
Precote 15
Non-reactive elastic pre-applied sealant for threads, flange heads, and rivets — rated to 390°F.
Precote 30
Medium strength microencapsulated pre-applied thread locker and sealant. Dry to the touch, acrylate-base, activated by thread engagement.
Precote 80
High strength microencapsulated pre-applied thread locker and sealant, rated to 340°F and 5760 psi.
Precote 85
High strength microencapsulated pre-applied thread locker with controlled torque tension — rated from -58°F to 338°F and 5760 psi.

Brass-Loc
Specialty microencapsulated lock-and-seal formulated for copper-zinc alloys. Standard anaerobic threadlockers can cause stress corrosion cracking in brass — Brass-Loc will not. The right answer when the fastener or fitting is brass.

Pre-applied threadlocker and sealant for brass fittings — formulated to work on brass without corroding it.

Bradley White Nylon Patch
A mechanical thread locker — a nylon element permanently bonded to the fastener thread. Unlike chemical threadlockers, the nylon patch locks the joint through compression rather than adhesion, creating a consistent prevailing torque value that does not require a cure window. Reusable for 5+ install/remove cycles. The specification when service access matters.

Send us the OEM thread locking spec.
Many prints reference an OEM material spec, and not a product name. We’ve cross-referenced thousands of specs against this catalog — send what’s on your drawing and we’ll come back with the match.
NOT SURE? SEND THE PRINT.
We’d rather pick the right one with you than ship the wrong one fast.
If you’re cross-referencing an OEM spec, comparing two competing chemistries, or trying to balance break-loose targets — it’s faster to just talk to the engineering desk. Most questions get an answer same business day.
