ND Industries 1193S is a pre-applied microencapsulated thread locker factory-applied to internal or external fastener threads. The adhesive components are enclosed in microscopic capsules. They remain completely inert — dry to the touch, dimensionally stable, and dormant — until thread engagement at assembly mixes the resin and initiates cure.
The 1193S can be applied to both internal and external threads — a flexibility that extends the product to nut locking and internally-threaded applications that external-thread-only products cannot serve. Applied by Bradley in the same pre-applied production format as all ND grades, the finished fastener arrives at the assembly line dry to the touch, ready to install, and ready to lock on engagement.
High strength and vibration resistance make the 1193S appropriate for engine compartment and safety-critical fastener applications — the same application category as the 593S series. The 1193S uses a different formulation and has its own TDS and MSDS separate from the 593S epoxy grades.
The Neutral grade carries no color pigment. It provides the same locking performance as the 1193S Orange in applications where color marking is not required, where color contamination is a concern, or where a specific OEM specification calls for an uncolored adhesive coating. The chemistry, strength, and temperature performance are identical between Neutral and Orange.
