Dri-Loc 202 Green.
Medium-strength, dry-to-touch pre-applied thread locker and sealant for assemblies that need vibration resistance and fluid sealing — without a permanent, service-proof bond. One dry film locks and seals simultaneously. Green is the universal medium-strength color signal. 300°F rated. The Dri-Loc grade for joints that will eventually come apart cleanly.
Normal lead time 1–2 weeks — from receipt at our dock to applied parts back on yours. Rush accommodated on request. Customer pays inbound and outbound freight; F.O.B. St. Charles, IL.

Medium-strength lock and seal — in one pre-applied film.
Dri-Loc 202 is the medium-strength, dual-function member of the Loctite Dri-Loc film family — the answer for assemblies where the joint needs to resist vibration loosening and seal against fluid migration, but permanent, high-strength locking would make routine service impractical.
The 202 formulation is a water-based film that bonds to the fastener thread and cures anaerobically on assembly. It occupies the middle of the Dri-Loc strength range — more holding force than the low-strength 203 Silver, less than the high-strength 200 Yellow and 204 Red. That puts it in the right position for fasteners that a service tech will eventually need to turn out with hand tools, but where vibration loosening and thread leakage are still real failure modes.
On assembly, mechanical compression between mating threads excludes air and triggers cure. The joint locks and seals in a single operation. The film is consumed at install. Removal does not require heat at medium-strength torque levels, but the product is gone after disassembly and reinstall requires reapplication. Full cure occurs within 24 hours at room temperature.
Green is the universally recognized color signal for medium-strength threadlocker across the Loctite product family. Engineers who know the color system will identify 202 Green as the pre-applied equivalent to the medium-strength liquid grades they already know. The pigment also enables quick QA verification in production environments running multiple Dri-Loc SKUs — green means medium, and medium means this fastener will come out when the time comes.
SPEC AT A GLANCE
Why engineers reach for 202 Green
Medium-strength dual lock-and-seal — the Dri-Loc grade for assemblies that need vibration resistance and fluid sealing, with a break-loose torque that falls between the low grade (203) and the high grades (200/204). Green is the universal medium-strength color cue.

PRODUCT FAMILY
Loctite Dri-Loc 202GREEN
Medium-strength member of the Dri-Loc dry-film family. Dual function — locks and seals simultaneously. Green pigment is the industry-standard color code for medium-strength threadlocker.
CHEMISTRY
Water-BasedDRY FILM
Anaerobic-cure resin in a water-carrier film. Inert until air is excluded by mating thread compression. Dry to touch in storage; does not migrate or activate prematurely.
STRENGTH RATING
MediumVIBRATION-RATED
Medium-strength grade — stronger than Dri-Loc 203 Silver (low), lighter than 200/201/204 (high). Provides controlled break-loose torque with sustained vibration resistance.
FUNCTION
Lock + SealDUAL
Like 203 Silver, the 202 Green both locks and seals in a single film application. One product, two jobs — eliminates the need for a separate liquid thread sealant on the same fastener.
TEMPERATURE RANGE
Up to 300°FCONTINUOUS
Continuous-service ceiling to 300°F. Short-duration excursions higher are tolerated; consult engineering for sustained service above this limit.
CURE MECHANISM
AnaerobicRT · ON ASSEMBLY
Cure begins when air is excluded by thread engagement. No oven step. Initial cure within minutes; full cure within 24 hr at room temperature.
VIBRATION RESISTANCE
YesSUSTAINED
Validated against industry-standard cyclic-load tests despite medium-strength classification. Maintains preload against vibration through extended service.
REUSABILITY
NoSINGLE-INSTALL
Film is consumed at install. Removal is possible with standard hand tools at medium-strength torque levels, but the film is gone after disassembly — reinstall requires reapplication.
VISUAL ID
Green PigmentQA-INSPECTABLE
Green is the widely understood medium-strength color signal across the Loctite product family, including liquid grades. QA tech can verify correct grade at a glance in mixed-SKU environments. Unique in the Dri-Loc line.
FASTENER SIZE RANGE
M3–M36#4 – 1.5 IN
Applied across the standard fastener-size envelope. Medium-strength grade is well suited to a broad fastener size range. Larger or specialty sizes — consult engineering.
