High-Temp Red Nylon Patch.
-70°F → 500°F · 570° Service Range
A mechanical thread-locking patch rated from -70°F to 500°F — no chemical film, no cure time, ready immediately. The same reusable, vibration-resistant mechanical lock as the standard Bradley Nylon Patch grades, built for the applications where 250°F is not enough: ovens, appliances, automotive exhaust, and small engines. Red identifies the high-temperature grade at a glance.
Standard lead time 1–2 weeks — from receipt at our dock to coated parts back on yours. Rush accommodated on request. Customer pays inbound and outbound freight; F.O.B. St. Charles, IL.

When the standard nylon patch runs out of temperature, the Bradley Red Nylon Patch does not.
The Bradley High-Temp Red Nylon Patch is the high-temperature member of the Bradley Nylon Patch family — rated from -70°F to 500°F, for fasteners in environments where the 250°F ceiling of the standard White and 360° Yellow grades is simply not enough.
The mechanism is the same as every other Bradley Nylon Patch grade: a nylon material is fused into a pre-formed recess in the fastener thread, and the mechanical interference between that patch and the mating thread generates the locking force. What changes is the material’s thermal tolerance. Where the standard polyamide nylon used in the White and 360° Yellow grades begins to soften above 250°F, the high-temperature formulation maintains its locking performance through sustained service at 500°F — covering the majority of demanding high-heat fastener environments in the appliance, automotive, and small engine industries.
Because the locking mechanism is mechanical, none of the standard nylon patch operational advantages change at high temperature — there is still no cure time, no chemical exposure, and no waiting period before the fastener is ready to use. The patch is also reusable at high-temperature service. The fastener can be removed and reinstalled with the locking function intact — including after repeated thermal cycling — making the High-Temp Red well suited to assemblies that need periodic service access despite operating under sustained heat.
The -70°F lower limit adds a dimension that most high-temperature specifications don’t address: cold-weather performance. Equipment that starts life in cold storage or extreme winter conditions before reaching high operating temperatures requires a locking solution that works at both extremes. The 570-degree total service span of the High-Temp Red covers both. Red is the color designation for the high-temperature grade within the Bradley Nylon Patch line, consistent with the color convention where red signals elevated-temperature capability.
SPEC AT A GLANCE
Why engineers reach for the High-Temp Red Nylon Patch
When the standard nylon patch grades max out at 250°F and the application runs hotter, this is the grade. Mechanical locking from -70°F to 500°F — no cure time, reusable, and the same operating simplicity as the rest of the Bradley Nylon Patch line.

PRODUCT
Bradley High-Temp Red Nylon Patch500°F
The high-temperature member of the Bradley Nylon Patch family. Mechanically identical in principle to the White 90°/120° and 360° Yellow grades — fused nylon patch, mechanical interference lock, no cure — but rated for service up to 500°F and down to -70°F.
MECHANISM
Mechanical PatchNOT A CHEMICAL FILM
Nylon material fused into the thread profile. Locking force comes from mechanical interference between the patch and mating thread — no chemical reaction, no cure step required.
STRENGTH RATING
MediumVIBRATION-RATED
Medium-strength mechanical lock. Strength classification is consistent with the standard nylon patch grades — the high-temperature rating applies to the material’s thermal durability, not to a change in break-loose torque profile. Confirm with engineering for size-specific torque values at elevated service temperatures.
TEMPERATURE — MAX
500°FCONTINUOUS SERVICE
Maximum continuous-service temperature of 500°F — double the 250°F ceiling of the standard White and 360° Yellow grades. This is the defining specification that makes the High-Temp Red the correct grade for oven hardware, appliance fasteners, exhaust-adjacent automotive fasteners, and small engine components near combustion.
TEMPERATURE — MIN
-70°FCOLD-ENVIRONMENT RATED
Rated for service down to -70°F — the full operating range is -70°F to 500°F, a 570-degree span. The cold-end rating is relevant for equipment that sees extreme low temperatures in storage or operation before reaching high service temperatures.
TOTAL TEMP RANGE
-70°F to 500°F570° SPAN
The full temperature range, both limits stated together. For product literature and comparison tables, stating both limits (not just the max) is more informative for engineers evaluating suitability for environments that swing between extreme cold and extreme heat.
COVERAGE PATTERN
Standard90°/120° PATTERN
Applies the standard 90°/120° arc coverage pattern — same as the White Nylon Patch. The red color identifies the high-temperature grade; the coverage pattern is not changed.
CURE / READY TIME
None RequiredIMMEDIATE USE
No cure time, no oven step. Mechanically ready the moment the fastener is processed — consistent with the rest of the Bradley Nylon Patch line.
REUSABILITY
YesSELF-LOCKING ON REINSTALL
Durable mechanical feature of the fastener — not a consumable. Can be removed and reinstalled with the locking function intact, including after thermal cycling.
APPLICATIONS
Ovens · Appliances · Automotive · Small Engine+ MORE
Designed for high-temperature environments: residential and commercial ovens, appliance hardware, automotive fasteners near exhaust and combustion, and small engine applications (Kohler, Toro, etc.). The 500°F ceiling covers the majority of sustained high-heat fastener environments in these verticals.
VISUAL ID
RedCOLOR-INSPECTABLE
Red immediately signals the high-temperature grade in the Bradley Nylon Patch line. Distinguishes from White (90°/120° standard), Yellow (360° full-coverage), and any future Black variants. Red = high temp.
