Bradley Product Identification is a color-marking service applied to the fastener head or tip during production. It solves a specific and common production problem: similar fasteners that cannot be distinguished visually once they leave the packaging.
In high-volume manufacturing and assembly environments, it is common to run multiple fastener grades, sizes, or coating types on the same line. When those parts look identical at a glance, the risk of the wrong fastener going into the wrong location is real — and the cost of a mis-installed fastener, whether in rework, warranty claims, or field failure, is almost always higher than the cost of preventing the mix-up in the first place. A color marking on the head or tip solves this before parts reach the assembly station.
The marking is applied to the fastener head, the tip, or both, depending on the specification. Yellow and blue are the standard, readily-available colors; any other color is available as a custom order, applied consistently across the production run.
